I actually read that forum sometimes for fun. I really can sort of relate to them, because they're really obsessed collectors too. Plus my daughter used to collect those, and I have a vague idea what they're talking about.
I just happened to look at the first page! Damn we be good in catching up to them (Atleast in posts and topics)! Should be comparable by the end of the week!

It is good to see what type of place this has turned into, and that it has a good level of contribution!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I just checked that site out of curiosity (thought they?d be talking ?bout biker chicks, etc. ?.go figure) and I have no idea what the hell it is they are actually talking about! They?re pretty passionate about it though.Originally posted by Flapper Girl Daisy:
GREAT News! My new Kirsten just arrived about 1/2 and hr. ago!...Hmmm...Right away, I took her into my room....There was a bit of an Indiana Jones moment as I undressed her. Although I had turned her face towards the velcro in the back, there was still the challenge of pulling off the sleeve, without getting the velcro caught...
I just think it's really cool to see collectors that are that passionate about their hobby. And I'm taking a wild guess that there are NO flame wars on that site.
Never heard of that board, but I just checked. Maybe "Kirsten" like the equilvalent to our Walmart Raven??
And I thought an Indiana Jones moment was when a Nazi's face melted off, but I must be off on that.
I wonder if they have their own version of a "Supergirl101" poster.

I used to get catalogues for them all the time when I was a little girl. there's even a series of books about the dolls.Originally posted by TheWho:

people who collect dolls like that can be very, very passionate about what they collect. moreso than pretty much every toy collector I've encountered. I crochet little tiny dolls and sell them online, and let me tell you..some of my customers were downright disturbing. a lot of them were sweet as pie, and a pleasure to deal with, but the crazy ones..well..they creeped me out sometimes. I had to laugh about it though..these women probably had no clue that the money they were giving me for cutesy little dolls was going towards hellraiser and spawn figures. it's such a huge difference in taste and style.
It seems they even do their own customs of sorts !!!!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Congrats! I like Kailey too. At first I didn't like her but once I got her then I liked her a lot. I put her in the old red vynil outfit and pretend she is from the future and lives on Voyager (from Star Trek). I know, I'm weird.
I heard Bush wants to go to war because he heard someone is collecting our American girls. Outrageous! Disgraceful! I want pics of these american girls so we know what were're fighting about.
Funny, some of those AG dolls might be sorta creepy when there's several staring at you on a shelf. Maybe Hellraiser's more comforting??
